6. Positioning the Pick-Up Roller
Releasing Solenoid (SL9, SL10)
Install the solenoid so that the pick-up roller
arm [1] butts against the upper stay [2] when the
plunger of the solenoid is pushed in.
Butted.

7. Releasing the Lifter

If the lifter [1] is up, push down the lifter
releasing arm [2] to lower it.

8. Left/Right Registration

1)
Select 'ATTRACT' under 'FUNC' in service
mode.
2)
Select the pick-up assembly using 'ATT-
SLCT'.
3)
Press 'ATT-ON'.
(Paper will be picked up automatically and
remain attracted to the transfer belt.)
At this time, make adjustments so that the
distance L between the paper edge (front of
paper) [1] and the front plate [3] of the transfer
unit [2] is 74.7 ±0.5 mm. (If LTR, 83.7 ±0.5
mm.)
4)
Slide out the duplexing unit (if cassette 1) or
the cassette 1 (if cassette 2).
5)
Loosen the screw [4], and adjust the position
of the cassette hook plate [5] as indicated.
