Remove
the caps.
_ Remove the rear lens cap and the
body cap by turning them as shown
by the arrow
EF-S lens mount index
EF lens mount index
'3_ Attach
the lens.

_ Align the EF-S lens with the camera's
white EF-S lens mount index and turn
the lens as shown by the arrow until it
clicks in place.
_ When attaching a lens other than an
EF-S lens, align the lens with the red
EF lens mount index.

On the lens, set the focus
mode
_i
sw_tch
to <AF>
(autofoeus).
_ If it is set to <MF> (manual focus),
autofocus will not operate
Remove the front lens cap=
¢, Do not look at the sun directly through any lens. Doing So may cause
_oss of visionk
_fthe front p_r_ (focusing
ring) of the lens rotates dudng autofocusing,
do
not touch the rotating p_rt.
