iSCSI Target

iSCSI Target is associated with iSCSI, the protocol used to transmit data storage data over IP. This standard uses faster SCSI
commands over IP networks in local intranets (LAN's) and the internet (WAN's). iSCSI uses two mechanisms to communicate:
a target and an initiator. The DNS-345 is the target and the computers connected to the NAS are the initiators. Note: It is not
suggested to connect to the same iSCSI target with two different clients (iSCSI initiators) at the same time, because it can
lead to data loss. To connect to the iSCSI Target, follow these steps:
Select iSCSI Target from the side menu under the Disk Management tab.
Note: Setting up an iSCSI Target requires a connection to a Virtual Volume.
Once you have setup the iSCSI target, go to the Virtual Volume section.
To enable the iSCSI Target, click the Enable radio button. To disable iSCSI,
click the Disable radio button. Once clicked, the iSCSI fields are visible.
Select the Enable iSNS checkbox to assign an iSNS server to the network.
Under iSNS Server IP, enter the IP address you have assigned to the NAS.
