Possible cause and remedy
The capsule plate is dirty.
^ Clean the capsule plate (see "Cleaning and care").
The cup has not been preheated.
Preheat the cup, e.g. with hot water.
The smaller the cup is, and the thicker its sides, the more
important it is to preheat it.
Too much water was programmed in for the type of capsule
used.
^ Change the portion size (see "Changing the portion size").
Depending on the type of capsule and the selected type of
drink (espresso, coffee, coffee long), the preparation time,
the colour and the taste of the coffee may vary.
This is not a fault.
^ Follow the recommendations for each type of capsule (see
instructions on packaging).
The water is left over from the brewing and rinsing process.
This is not a fault.
The coffee machine needs descaling.
^ Descale the coffee machine (see "Descaling").
