When "Place the printed chart with its face down and the darkest area to the left.

Then close the original cover or the ADF and press [OK]." appears, place the

printed original chart on the original glass as instructed in the message.

Be sure to set the original chart aligning to the top left corner.

Close the original cover or the ADU. Press [OK].
