Open the rear cover, pull out the power supply plug and check the following:

1 Are any of the connector terminals of J7 and J64 pulled out or discounted?

2 Is either the thermostat of the heater or the heater lamp disconnected?

Check the above, and if necessary carry out repairs.

Then connect digital tester between pins 1 and 6 of J7 on PWA-LGC and turn ON the power

supply.

Q1: Does the heater come ON?

YES

Check the next question (Q2).

1550 TROUBLESHOOTING

Thermistor disconnection

Is the voltage of J7-4, 5 V?

NO: Is the level of pin 1 of IC6 on PWA-LGC, "H"?

YES: Is the level of pin 11 of J3, "L"?

NO: Check for disconnection or short-circuiting

in or around Q1, Q3, IC6.

YES: Check for disconnection, short-circuiting

or damage around IC6, J7.

NO: Check for imperfect contact or disconnec-

tion around 69 of IC10, Q8, Q9, J7 and J3

on PWA-LGC.

YES: Check if there is any terminal of the heater

pulled off, or whether there is a discon-

nection or pulled-out connector in har-

nesses on PS-ACC.
