    New batteries may be required within 30 to 60 days when the Bad Battery/Low Battery LED illuminates red. Obtain spare batteries for the UPS when this occurs. HP supplies spare battery packs for this UPS. The UPS spare battery kit part number is 240796-001 CAUTION: Because of the short shelf life of the battery, avoid storing a battery spare as a backup.

    The battery warranty coverage is three years for parts. The warranty for the first year of ownership includes parts and labor. If battery spares are not available for a particular HP UPS model, then the entire UPS, including its battery, is replaced.
