Response
Status: The external storage system is in the blocked status caused
error
by the abnormal reply (Response). You may not be able to access
the device of the external storage system. Or data protection may be
set on the device of the external storage system.
Reaction: The port of the external storage system is recognized.
Check the setting and status of the external storage system. If you
cannot restore the path, call the Hitachi Data Systems Support
Center.
Initiator
Status: The port attribute of the external storage system has been
port
changed to the initiator port.
Reaction: Set the port attribute of the external storage system to
the target port. If you cannot restore the path, call the Hitachi Data
Systems Support Center.
Unknown
Status: The port attribute of the external storage system is
port
unknown.
Reaction: The port of the external storage system is recognized.
Check the condition of the connection (e.g., cables, switches) to the
external storage system. If you cannot restore the path, call the
Hitachi Data Systems Support Center.
Cannot
Status: The path has been removed or the port of the external
detect
storage system cannot be found. There is a problem with connection
port
to the external storage system. The following are possible causes:
- The fibre cable is not physically connected in the proper way.
- The setting of the topology does not match between the external
port and the target port.
- Because the security is set on the port, the device of the external
storage system cannot be recognized from the local storage system.
- If the external storage system is connected through switches, the
settings for the switches may not be appropriate.
Reaction: Check the condition of the connection to the external
storage system. If you cannot restore the path, call the Hitachi Data
Systems Support Center.
Internal
Status: The program error occurred. Or there is a logical
error
contradiction.
Reaction: Call the Hitachi Data Systems Support Center.
Status: The processing was retried because the abnormal reply
Timeout
(Response) was returned, however, the processing has been stopped
by timeout.
Reaction: The port of the external storage system is recognized.
Check the condition of the connection (e.g., cables, switches) to the
external storage system. If you cannot restore the path, call the
Hitachi Data Systems Support Center.
Target
Status: An error such as the blockade of the controller has been
error
found in the port of the external storage system
Reaction: Check the status of the ports of the external storage
system. If you cannot restore the path, call the Hitachi Data Systems
Support Center.
