Note:
• Before connecting to an external device, make sure to turn the main unit off.
• If there is noise or lines on the screen, please check the HDMI cable (length is
generally limited to 4.5 m and use a high speed HDMI cable (version 1.3)).
• I f you want to enjoy only the TV sound more plentifully, it is necessary to
connect the audio output of the TV to the S/PDIF input of the main unit using
an S/PDIF cable. (Refer to page19.)
• W hen the connected device is not compatible with copyright protection
technology (HDCP), the image and/or the sound from the HDMI TV OUT
jack may be distorted or may not be outputted. In this case, check the
specifications for the connected device.
• I f a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the player,
the HDMI device's audio sound may be distorted or may not be outputted.

Connecting to an Audio System

S/PDIF Connection
You can enjoy the sound from your device with a digital optical connection
through your soundbar.
S/PDIF cable

Connect the optical output jack of your device into the S/PDIF IN jack on
the main unit.

T urn on the connected devices.

Press INPUT repeatedly to select the SPDIF mode.
