Setting Vour Water Hardness Level
The SmartDispense feature allows you to input
the hardness of uour water into the control panel.
This helps optimize the performance of uour
SmartDispense unit.

Priorto the first use, the washer needs
to be calibrated for water hardness.Please
follow directions below to calibrate the washer
to the hardness of your tap water.
Determine the Hardness of Your
Tap Water
Inthe bag that contained these instructions,
Uou should find a water hardness test strip
package. Readthe instructions on the
package, remove the test strip and follow
the instructions to determine the hardness
level of uour tap water. You will use this
information to calibrate uour washer to
dispense the optimal amount of detergent.

To calibrate gour water hardness:
1. Pressthe POWERbutton.
2.Press the SETTINGS button.
3. Use the down arrow to select the WATER
HARDNESS SETUP, and press the ENTER
button.
4. The displau will show numbers i to 5.
The washer defaults to setting 3.
5. Use the left and right arrows to select
the number determined with the test strip
from the table above, and press the ENTER
button.
