  • Page 16 NOTE: To ensue proper gripping of the cutter bit shank and minimize run-out, the shank of the cutter bit must be inserted into the collet/nut at least 5/8 inch. 7. With the cutter bit inserted and the spindle-lock button pressed in to engage the shaft, place the wrench on the collet/nut and turn it clockwise until the collet/nut is firmly tightened on the cutter bit shank.
  • Page 17 CUTTER BITS Keep cutter bits clean and sharp. Remove all accumulated pitch and gum from cutter bits after each use. When sharpening cutter bits, sharpen only the inside of the cutting edge for faster, more accurate cutting results. Never grind the outside diameter.
