- Page 17 CUTTER BITS Keep cutter bits clean and sharp. Remove all accumulated pitch and gum from cutter bits after each use. When sharpening cutter bits, sharpen only the inside of the cutting edge for faster, more accurate cutting results. Never grind the outside diameter.
