If you are just printing a rough draft, plain paper is fine. For the best results however, you’ll want to use one of Epson’s special ink jet papers designed for your printer. Page 24: Ink Cartridge Precautions
Leave the empty cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out. To ensure good results, use genuine Epson ink cartridges and do not refill them. Solving Problems If you have a problem with your Epson Stylus C68, check the printer’s lights (as described below) to diagnose what may be causing it.
