4 Setting Up Console Redirection for
Microsoft Windows Servers
This chapter describes how to set up your Microsoft Windows NT or 2000 server
and remote client for server management. Once you've installed the Integrated RA
software on your Windows server and configured it, you need to install
communications software at both the server and the remote client. HP
recommends use of the pcAnywhere that is included with your NetServer. Keep in
mind that you must install the remote client software (as described in Chapter 5)
before you can begin to manage your server from a remote location.
At this point in the setup process, your Windows server is ready for a remote
connection. However, to complete the server side of the installation, you must
install pcAnywhere host software if you want to be able to redirect your server
console to a remote PC client.
