Error Message List
The gigabeat may display the following error messages. When an error message is displayed,
take an appropriate action by referring to the instructions below.

DATA FORMAT
UNSUPPORTED
DISK FORMAT
NO AUDIO DATA
FOUND
DATA ERROR
FAILED TO OPEN FILE
RECHARGE BATTERY
THE NUMBER OF FILES
EXCEEDS THE LIMIT
CONNECT AC ADAPTER
Content and Corrective Action
The format of the selected audio data cannot be played on the
gigabeat. Use TOSHIBA Audio Application to transfer the data.
(Refer to "Transferring Audio Data to the gigabeat" in the
TOSHIBA Audio Application Owner's Manual.)
Format the internal hard disk. (Refer to "Initializing the Internal
Hard Disk" in the TOSHIBA Audio Application Owner's
Manual.)
Transfer audio data to the gigabeat. (Refer to "Transferring
Audio Data to the gigabeat" in the TOSHIBA Audio Application
Owner's Manual.)
The selected playlist or audio data is damaged. Use TOSHIBA
Audio Application to transfer the data again. (Refer to
"Transferring Audio Data to the gigabeat" in the TOSHIBA
Audio Application Owner's Manual.)
The audio data could not be opened and played.
Use TOSHIBA Audio Application to transfer the data again.

There is insufficient power remaining in the built-in battery.
Connect the AC adapter and charge the battery. (
The number of audio data exceeds the limit. A maximum of
999 audio data can be played from one folder. (
The AC adapter is not connected. Connect the AC adapter to
the AC adapter jack during USB connection.
