6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow
the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or
after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in
any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorized
Service Facility for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
8. The use of accessories/attachments not recommended or sold
by KitchenAid may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to
persons.
9. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
10. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or
touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
12. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
13. Do not use appliance without Lid properly closed. To fill the
Electric Kettle open the Lid by pressing the Lid Open Button.
To close, push the Lid down until it locks into place. A clicking
sound will be heard which indicates the Lid is locked.
14. Scalding may occur if the Lid is removed during the brewing
cycle.
15. The Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
16. This appliance should only be used to heat water.
17. Do not use the appliance with loose or weakened handle.
18. Do not clean Kettle with cleaners, steel wool, or other abrasive
materials. To prevent damage to the appliance do not use
alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning; use a soft cloth and a
mild detergent.
19. Refer to the "Care and Cleaning" section for instructions on
cleaning the surfaces.
20. Do not overfill the appliance.
21. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.
22. To disconnect, turn any control to off, then remove plug from
wall outlet.
23. This product is designed for indoor household use only. Not
designed for commercial use.
