4. COMMUNICATIONS USING

Trainer operation
Write the BASIC program shown in Section 4.8.1 to the external device.
After writing, set the PC CPU to "RUN".
If there are no errors, send and receive data using the following procedure.

Input all 8 points for each device from the external device keyboard.

When the write data is sent
from the external device to the
PC CPU
Response message cannot be
received. STOP.

Are the cables connected (Section 3.3) correctly?
Are the external device settings (Section 3.4) and
QC24 switch settings (Section 4.2) correct?
Check the QC24 LEDs (Section 4.3), then check the
settings.
NAK was sent from the QC24.
Was data other than 0/1 input?
Are the external device program (RS-232C setting,
write request command) settings (Section 4.8.1) and
QC24 switch settings (Section 4.2) correct?
Check the QC24 LEDs (Section 4.3) then check the
settings.
Refer to the Serial Communications Module User's
Manual for the contents of the displayed error code
and
take
appropriate
action.
