3. Decrease the distance between the motor and the
bearing to release the tension of the V-belts.
4. Remove the V-belts and install the new V-belts.
5. Increase the distance between the motor and the
bearing to apply tension to the V-belts. Refer to
do a check of the V-belt tension on page 17 .
6. Install the V-belt cover.
To do a check of the chain tension of
the drive system
WARNING:
without the chain cover installed.
1. Stop the product. Refer to
page 11 .
2. Remove the chain cover.
3. Push the chain to examine the tension. If you can
push the chain a distance of 5 mm/0.2 in., the
tension is correct.
4. Loosen the nuts.
5. Move the chain wheel to adjust the tension.
6. Tighten the nuts.

7. Install the chain cover.
To adjust the gland seals of the rotating
valves
If there is a leakage of dust at the gland seals, it is
necessary to tighten the gland seals. There are gland
seals on each side of the 2 rotating valves.
1. Stop the product. Refer to
page 11 .
2. Make sure that the bushings (A) are vertical and not
at an angle.

3. Tighten the nuts (B) a half turn.
CAUTION:
too much. The gland seals can become
damaged.
4. Make sure that the distance (C) is the same on the
left and the right side.
5. Start the product and make sure that there is no
leakage of dust at the gland seals.
