SECTION 7
ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
During the adjustment, see the Parts Arrangement
Diagram Relevant to the adjustment at the end of this
section.
Prepare the following measuring equipment for electrical
adjustment.
7-1, LIST OF MEASURING EQUIPMENT
+ Color bar generator (with 100% white level output and S
terminal output)
+ Waveform monitor or oscilloscope
+ Vector scope
+ Digital voltmeter
+ Frequency counter
7-2. NOTE ON ADJUSTMENT
Input the signal directly from the color bar generator to the
waveform monitor or vector scope, and check that the 100%
white level and the color vectors are correct.
*When a RAMP signal is not available from the test signal
generator, a RAMP can be obtained by playing back the RAMP
signal portion of the reference disc as a signal source.
7-3. ADJUSTMENT METHOD
7-3-1. Connections
1) Connect the $ video cable to INPUT 1 to input the color bar
(S video) signal.
2)
Connect the video cable to INPUT 2 to input the color bar
(V video composite) signal.
3) Do not connect anything to the S video of INPUT 2.
4)
Connect the TV monitor via the waveform monitor to the V
video of OUTPUT 1. (terminated at 75 Q)
5)
Connect the vector scope to the V video of OUTPUT
2.
(terminated at 75 Q)
Note:
If the waveform monitor and vector scope consist
of a single unit, connect the cable to just one of the
OUTPUTs.)
