In the bit error rate test the Fader monitors the ERROR
PULSE INPUT and measures the bit error rate for
approximately 1 second. When started using the
key, this test runs continuously until the
key is pressed.
Some radios have their own internal error checking
scheme. This would eliminate the need for a BERT in
bit error rate checking.
