FTP and SFTP
FTP is a client-server network protocol for transferring files between hosts. SFTP is a secure version of FTP that
encrypts commands and data transfers using OpenSSH. 1FINITY NEs support both protocols and can participate
as either client or server.
The FTP server service is disabled by default. When it is enabled, it listens on TCP port 21. The SFTP server
service is disabled by default. When it is enabled, the TCP port is configurable (port 2202 is used by default).
1.7.2
HTTP and HTTPS
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a client-server network protocol for data communication over the World
Wide Web. HTTPS is a secure version of HTTP that encrypts commands and data transfers.
1FINITY NEs support HTTP and HTTPS web server services. Both services are disabled by default. The TCP port is
configurable for both services. By default, HTTP listens on TCP port 80 and HTTPS listens on TCP port 443.
The WebGUI service and the REST API service both use the HTTP/HTTPS web sever service.
