PURPOSE AND DEFINITION The Panasonic Free-To-Guest (FTG) Basic platform delivers FTG channels to the guest rooms with minimal headend equipment installed. The FTG Basic platform uses an FTG Management Appliance (FMA-101) to configure and deliver the channel lineup to the guest room terminals via the hotel’s coaxial distribution network.

Terminal Configuration/Troubleshooting The FTG Basic platform does not contain a host in the headend to support terminal reporting and troubleshooting. A visit to the guest room is required to troubleshoot terminal issues. Loading termcode must be completed on-site using a Remote Programmer Downloader (RPD).
FMA-101 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES PURPOSE AND DEFINITION Delivery of the channel lineup in a FTG Basic platform requires the installation and configuration of an FTG Management Appliance (FMA-101). This section contains steps to install and configure the FMA-101 in an FTG Basic platform.
