PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Tightening torque:
Engine oil drain bolt:
30 Nm (3.0 m·kgf, 21 ft·lbf)
8. Refill new engine oil up to the brim of
the oil filler hole.
Engine oil quantity:
1.0 L (1.06 US qt, 0.88 Imp qt)
Recommended engine oil:
See page 27
1. Correct engine oil level
TIP
If the engine oil spills, wipe it up completely
using dry rags.
9. Install and tighten the engine oil filler
cap securely.
10. Install the engine oil inspection cover
by installing the screws.
11. Install the engine oil drain cover by
installing the bolts.
Tightening torque:
Engine oil inspection cover screw:
10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)
Engine oil drain cover bolt:
10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)
REFILLING THE TRANSMIS-
SION (HST) OIL
WARNING
Position the Snowblower on a level sur-
face.
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Remove the oil reservoir cap and the
diaphragm.

3. Refill the transmission (HST) oil to an
intermediate level between the maxi-
mum level mark and minimum level
mark of the transmission (HST) oil res-
ervoir.
