Error description
13.5
To help locate defects when sending a unit back for repairs, please enclose a description of the error(s) encountered
and, if applicable, a graph of expected versus incorrectly returned signal courses, as well as the following information
for our Customer Service:
The device's serial number
The file SICAM Q80.log from the SICAM Q80 folder under ..\output\service\...
The files dev00x.umi (in the SICAM Q80 folder)
e-mail to the Customer Support: ?-Menu
You can create a file with the Support information as follows:
Load the pertinent parameter set into the topology (see system manual section: Topology)
1. Select a device
2. Load the parameter set's using the context menu (display in window title)
3. If no parameter set exists yet, create a default set.
4. If it is not possible to create a parameter set, please notify the
Support team by E-Mail stating the device name and serial number.

2. Subsequently, the file created will be displayed.

Resetting the device
If you are unable to set up a connection with the measurement device even though the device is activated and no
other user is connected with it (and the correct TCP/IP or modem settings were also verified), the device can be reset
and restarted using the menu item Extras \ Measurement device \ Reboot on the start page. This action will stop any
running measurement or active data transfer! Afterwards you must re-connect to the device. Since this function ends
any processes running on the device, it can only be used on the conditions described above!
