Important:
Do not perform any maintenance or disassembly other than as described below. Otherwise, the device may not
operate correctly.

Cleaning the Exterior

If the exterior of the device gets dirty, wipe it with a dry cloth or a cloth that has been soaked in water and thoroughly
wrung out.

❏ Do not use volatile chemicals such as alcohol or thinner, or neutral detergents. These substances may affect
the performance of the device.
❏ Do not allow water to enter the device. Otherwise, the device may not operate correctly.
❏ Do not spray lubricants or any other substance onto the device. Otherwise, the device or circuitry may be
damaged, which could prevent it from operating properly.

Confirm that the device is off.
Disconnect the USB cable if it is connected.

Wipe off any dirt on the exterior with a dry cloth or a cloth that has been soaked in water and thoroughly wrung
out.

Cleaning the Sensor

Repeated color measurements may cause dust or other materials to enter the sensor area, which could cause a decline
in color measurement accuracy and operations. Check the sensor area periodically. If you see dust or other materials,
or if a maintenance message is displayed, follow the steps below.

substances may affect the performance of the device.
Note:
After performing color measurement, make sure you close the sensor cover on the base of the device to prevent dust or other
materials from entering the sensor.
