Step 3: Client Configuration
Create the dialup connection on the computer that will be used to dial into the MicroMAS
1. Get to the Network Connections / Add
Network Connection dialog box (shown
right). Typically this is through the Settings /
Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Select Connect to the network at my
workplace, then click Next.
3. Select Dial-up connection as the Network
Connection type (shown right).
4. In the Company Name field, type a name
that identifies the system or location. My
MicroMAS, shown at right, is an
example.
5. Enter the telephone number of the
telephone line connected to the modem.
Enter the modem number in the same
format that a station user would dial the
same number. Enter trunk access codes,
toll prefix and/or area code as required.
6. Click Finish.
