First Time Setup Read all provided instructions for use before proceeding. Using the SleepMapper app is recommended for the optimal user experience; app is not required for Deep Sleep enhancement. Step 1: Download the SleepMapper app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account and complete the registration.

Caution Do not connect to a computer to charge the device as it may cause damage. Your Deep Sleep Headband can only be paired with one phone at a time to protect your data privacy. See the Troubleshooting Guide section for details on pairing to a new phone. Make sure Bluetooth® is turned on on your phone.

Nightly Use Step 1: Wash your face with mild soap and water. Step 2: Wear the SmartSleep Deep Sleep headband at least 2 minutes in advance of launching the app. Check to make sure the forehead sensors are straight across your forehead. If you have long hair, pull the SmartSleep headband over your head until it is around your neck and under your hair.

Step 4: Position your headband. Pull the back strap down closer to your neck for optimal fit. Adjust the sliders (both at the same time) in the back so that it fits snugly, but comfortably on your head. It should not feel “tight” on your head.

Step 7: The headband may take up to 1 minute to set up the connection to the sensors. If you still hear a searching sound after 1 minute, check to ensure there is no hair trapped between your skin and the sensors. The headband will continue trying to set up until you make a connection with the sensors (happy sound), time out after an hour, or turn off.

In the Morning Step 1: Snooze the alarm on the Deep Sleep Headband by pressing the power button for 1 second. Step 2: Take the headband off and end the session in the SleepMapper app or by pressing the Power button for 3 seconds. Note: If you do not end the session, the alarm may sound again.

Troubleshooting Guide Problem Solution Check that Bluetooth is on at your phone. Ensure that your phone and headband are in close range to enable the Bluetooth to connect. Turn the headband off (3 second press) and back on (1 second press) or plug it into the charger.

Check the position of the headband. Make sure the forehead sensor band is placed across the middle of your forehead (not touching your hairline or eyebrows) and that there is no hair trapped underneath it. Check the fit of the headband. Make sure there is no gap between your skin and forehead sensor band and each sensor is making contact with your skin.
