After you have configured these parameters, you will be able to send e-mail messages and use e-mail addresses located on an LDAP server of your choosing.

    See the user guide for instructions on sending to a printer. HP Web JetAdmin HP Web JetAdmin is an optional utility for use with the digital sender. It is a browser-based program that lets you remotely configure, monitor, and control HP network peripherals such as printers, plotters, scanners, and digital senders.

Used for WINS (Windows Address Internet Naming Service) symbolic name resolution if you identify servers and devices on your network by network name instead of by IP address.

    Changing or setting administrator password Unless a password is used, anyone can perform sensitive administrator activities. Therefore, the administrator is encouraged to create a password during the setup of the HP Digital Sender 8100C. Note The administrator password is case-sensitive.

Notes about the procedure: When you upgrade the digital sender firmware, you replace the existing firmware image with one or more new files.
