DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION
This chapter describes the Diagnostic Test Program provided to check for proper operation of the POS I/O
devices of ST-B10.

5.1 Outline

As the ST-B10 diagnostic test program, Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program performed with a USB memory is
provided.
Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program
Linux-based diagnostic test program should be set up on the USB memory beforehand.
When this USB memory is inserted into the USB slot provided for the ST-B10 then the power is on, the
diagnostic test program starts up apart from the built-in disk.
In the Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program, tests concerning I/O devices connected to the ST-B10 can be
performed.
Prior to performing a diagnostic test with the USB memory, Linux-based diagnostic test program should be set
up on the USB memory.
When booting the diagnostic test program from a USB memory, refer to Section 4.4.2 and perform the BIOS
setting.
5.2 Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program Setup Procedure
This section describes procedures to set up the Linux-based diagnostic test program on the USB memory.
The USB memory with a capacity of 512 MB or more is satisfied.
For reference, operation-checked USB memories are shown below.
