Mounting the Alarm Routing Module (ARM) Introduction The Alarm Routing Module (ARM) is for use in the SM 25B Booster Frames or Module Exten- sion Frame (MXF). It is an alarm signal and time signal generating module for public address applications.
Caution: The ARM is designed to operate safely in a SM 25B Booster Frame or MXF. Ensure that the Booster Frame or MXF is installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions supplied with the equipment before installing the ARM. Connecting alarm and time signal inputs The alarm and time signal switches are connected across poles 4 and 5 of the 5-pole DIN con- nectors. The alarm signal will be activated by opening or closing the switch (depending on the normally closed/normally open setting described in section 1.3).

The following is a description of the configuration possibilities of the ARM. Refer to the table earlier in this section for a listing of the DIL switches. Note: Changes in configuration setting only take place after the system has been reset by switching it off and on again, or by pressing the reset button (switch 6, S304, figure 1.19).
