Keep batteries out of the reach
of children.
A swallowed battery can cause injury
and even death. Even flat batteries
can still be dangerous. If you suspect
a child has swallowed a battery, seek
medical advice immediately*. Exam-
ine devices and make sure the bat-
tery compartment is correctly se-
cured, e.g. that the screw or other
mechanical fastener is tightened. Do
not use if compartment is not secure.

Replacing batteries in the remote
control
2 batteries (AAA, 1.5 V) are required.
Observe the instructions regarding the
handling and disposal of batteries
found in the sections "Warning and
Safety" and "Caring for the environ-
ment" at the beginning of these oper-
ating instructions.
 Remove the battery compartment
cover.
 Replace the batteries. Make sure the
polarity is correct.
 Close the battery compartment cover.

Replacing the rechargeable battery

An original Miele lithium-ion re-
chargeable battery (YCR-MT12) is re-
quired.
 Do not use non-rechargeable
batteries.
Observe the instructions regarding the
handling and disposal of rechargeable
batteries found in the sections "Warn-
ing and Safety" and "Caring for the
environment" at the beginning of these
operating instructions.
 Remove the dust box from the stor-
age compartment.
 Open the rechargeable battery com-
partment by unlatching the cover up-
wards.
 Carefully remove the rechargeable
battery until the plug connection is
exposed.
 Press the latch on the plug connec-
tion in order to release the plug.
