Integrated safety functions
SINUMERIK Safety Integrated provides integrated safety functions that support the
implementation of highly effective personnel and machine protection. The safety functions
comply with the requirements of Category 3 according to EU standard EN 954-1 and safety
integrated level SIL2 of IEC 61508, ISO 13849-1 and NRTL. As a consequence, the
essential requirements relating to functional safety can be simply and cost-effectively
implemented.
The following belong to functional safety for machine tools:
