Media patrol

Media patrol is a routine maintenance routine that checks the magnetic media on each disk
drive. Media patrol is enabled by default on all disk arrays and spare drives. Media patrol
relates to media, rather than the data recorded on the media. If a media patrol encounters a
critical error, it will trigger PDM if PDM is enabled on the disk array.
Media patrol settings
You can enable or disable media patrol by using the background activity menu, or you can
create a schedule to run media patrol.
