Staging Using Mobility Services Platform

This section provides information for staging the SB1 using the MSP Server. MSP is available in three editions:
MSP Stage Edition, MSP Provision Edition and MSP Control Edition. MSP Provision Edition includes all the
functionality of MSP Stage Edition. MSP Control Edition includes all the functionality of MSP Provision Edition
and MSP Stage Edition. The Staging Edition is a free to use with the SB1 and can be used to perform all
staging activities described in this guide. When using the MSP Provision Edition or the MSP Control Edition
only to stage the SB1, the number of licenses tied to these editions are not affected. If management of the SB1
is desired, suitable licenses for MSP Provision Edition and MSP Control Edition are required.

Setting Up the MSP Server

To prepare the SB1 for staging using MSP and a workstation:
Install the latest available MSP 4.2 Supplemental deliverables to ensure that all client software is up to

date and that all available server patches are installed.
Install the MSP 4.2 Server software onto suitable workstation according to the Mobility Services Platform

Install the MSP Package Builder onto the Windows-based workstation according to the Mobility Services

Launch the MSP Console from the workstation and ensure that log in is successfully.
