Troubleshooting

Consult the following table to troubleshoot errors prior to sending the device to customer service.
Errors
Network display light not on
No screen display
No reaction upon pressing
No sound
Remote does not function
Titles are played in wrong order Playlist is used
DVD does not play

Cause
Lack of power supply
(AC adapter not supplied)
No power supply / main switch
turned off
TV operation:
Video cable incorrectly con-
nected.
No DVD/CD inserted
DVD/CD incompatible
DVD/CD placed upside down
into CD/DVD-compartment
CD/DVD is soiled
CD/DVD is damaged
Default settings incorrect
Child safety is activated
Power supply issues or static
charge of the device.
TV operation:
Audio cable not connected
Volume set too low.
Headphones plugged in

Solution
WARNING:
Turn off the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check if the mains plug is connected correctly. If neces-
sary, test the outlet with another device for functionality.
Turn the device back on again with the main switch
(Fig. 1/15; 2/5).
WARNING:
Turn of the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check the proper position of the video cable. Check if
the plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
Insert CD/DVD.
Use compatible media only.
Turn CD/DVD around.
Clean CD/DVD.
Use another CD/DVD.
Check the default settings of the DVD-Players.
Deactivate child safety.
Turn off the main switch and disconnect the device from
the power supply. Restore the power supply and switch
on the device again.
WARNING:
Turn off the device prior to troubleshooting.
Ensure correct connection of the audio cable. Check if
the plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
Press (VOL+) to increase the volume (Fig. 1/4; Fig. 2/7;
Fig. 3/10).
Check for correct fit of the headphone plug.
Check the default settings of the DVD-Player.
The remote control does not point toward the
DVD-Player.
Ensure that the distance between remote control and
device does not exceed 5 meters.
Change battery in the remote control.
Delete playlist.
Use a finalized DVD.
