A-2 Cable Installation
When routing the
HP-FL
fiber-optic cable, adhere to the bend radius and stress
limits below. Failure to comply may damage the cable or affect the optical
signals. The "bend radius" and "pull strength" specifications are provided for
both short durations (1 hour) and longer periods. For long periods, bend radius
must be more than 35 mm (1.38 in.) under no tensile force, and tensile force
must not exceed 37 kg (81.5Ib) force with no bend (infinite radius).
Table A-1 shows the characteristics of the cable supplied by Hewlett-Packard.
Table A-2 provides a check list for cable installation.
