Transponder-specific memory areas
Different memory areas exist in accordance with the tag standard.
● RF300
● ISO15693

Requirements for operating the tag functions

In order to execute read and write operations, you must
● set a tag type
● observe the distance limits between the reader and the tag.
Set tag type
Set the memory size of the tag using "Tag > Tag Type ... ". See also Chapter Tag Type
Selection (Page 49).

Note
Transmission gaps with RF300 tags because the distance between reader and tag is too
small
If the distance between reader and tag is too small, a transmission gap may occur directly on
the surface of the RF310M read head in the center of the field. Communication with the
transponder is not possible in the transmission gap.
You can avoid a transmission gap by observing a minimum distance of 2 mm.

– USER FRAM:
User data area. Freely available. Its size or presence is specific to the tag.
– CONFIG:
Configuration data. Relevant for service purposes only.
– OTP EEPROM:
EEPROM memory for user data. This area can also be used as an "OTP" memory
(One Time Programmable). The function "Write OTP" is used for this purpose.
– USER ISO
User data area. Freely available. Its size or presence is specific to the manufacturer.
– OTP ISO
User data memory. This area can also be used as an "OTP" memory (One Time
Programmable). The function "Write OTP" is used for this purpose.
