TROUBLESHOOTING
First try the solutions suggested here to possibly avoid the cost of a
service call.
PROBLEM

Your new ice machine may make sounds that are not familiar to you. Most
of the new sounds are normal. Hard surfaces like the floor and walls can
make the sounds louder than they actually are.

may be causing them.

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
There is a power outage
or the power to the
ice machine has been
disconnected.
The ice storage bin is full
of ice.
The hardness level of the
water is too high.
The drain hole below the
ice storage bin is blocked.
The drain hose is kinked or
improperly placed higher
storage bin.
POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
The ice machine feet are
not leveled and locked.
Flow of refrigerant, the
water line or items stored
on top of the ice machine
compressor
Water running
Air being forced over
the condenser by the
condenser fan.
Sound of ice cubes falling
into the bin during the
harvest cycle
SOLUTION
Reconnect the ice machine to
the power supply or wait until
power is restored. Allow the ice
machine to cool to the stated
temperature range before
resuming ice production.
Remove some ice cubes. Make
sure the ice-full probe is free
of ice.
Install a water-softening device
in front of the water inlet.
Unblock or clean out the drain.
Straighten the drain hose or
lower the drain hose to enable
the water to drain freely.
