Perform the following tasks when planning fail-safe operation. Confirm each task by
checking it off in the following list.

Plan access routes to the plant.
Plan operator locations at the plant
where WLAN will be needed.
Plan the WLAN.
Determine the installation locations
for the access points based on this.
Special programs are available for
planning the WLAN.
We strongly recommend you check
the local wireless conditions before
beginning start-up.
Plan for information security.
Plan the configuration of the
PROFINET and PROFIsafe
communication.
Plan the installation locations for the
RFID tags.
Plan the installation location and
clearance for the docking station.
Plan the location for the signal
lamps.
