2.11.2 Installation of I/O, gateways and encoder interface units outside IRC5 Compact
Fitting
Use this procedure to fit the I/O unit on the IRC5 Compact controller.

24 V power supply
I/O units can be supplied with 24 V power from the connector "XS10 Power supply"
or external 24 V power supply.

Before commencing any work inside the
cabinet, please observe the safety inform-
ation in section
DANGER - Make sure that
the main power has been switched off! on

Fit the mounting rail with two attachment
screws in the screw holes on the outside
of the controller cabinet.
Fit the I/O unit by snapping it onto the
mounting rail.
Connect the DC supply to the board.
Connect wires to the inputs and output
connectors as required.
