Dial-Up PPP

You can connect the Nokia IP40 Security Platform to the Internet by using a dial-up connection.
The device can establish a PPP connection to an ISP by using an external modem connected to
an auxiliary port. The modem can be an analog modem or an ISDN terminal adapter.
You can use the following modems:
Analog modem 56 Kbps (DTE speed: up to 115200)
ISDN TA (using PPP) 64 Kbps (DTE speed: up to 230400)
ISDN TA (using MLPPP) 128 Kbps (DTE speed: up to 460800)

Configuring Dial-Up

You can configure dial-up by using graphical user interface and CLI.

Using the GUI

The following sections give details about how to configure dial-up connections on the Nokia
IP40 Security Platform by using the GUI:
To configure dial-up
1. Choose Network from the main menu.
The Internet window opens.
2. Click Edit next to the Primary Internet connection.
The Internet Setup window opens.
3. Select Dialup from the drop-down list next to Connection Type.
