10.4.10 Setting the User Name and Password of the Touch Panel

On the web interface, you can set the user name and password used when the touch panel connects
to the terminal.
Context
The touch panel can use the Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) or Hypertext Transfer
Protocol Secure (HTTPS) to connect to the terminal. If Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption
is enabled on the terminal, select HTTPS. To check whether SSL encryption is enabled:

Application Programming Interface (API) user: Connect the touch panel to the terminal over a
wireless connection. API users can then perform operations on the touch panel to initiate and
control conferences.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the web interface of the terminal, and choose System Settings > Personal.
Step 2 Click the Personal tab. In Settings of API User, Set the parameters listed in
Table 10-1 API user parameters

Log in to the web interface of the terminal, and choose System Settings > Network >
Security and Service.
On the remote control user interface, choose Settings > Security > Web Login from the
home screen.
Description
This specifies the user name used when the touch panel connects to the
terminal. The default value is api. This field cannot be left blank.
This specifies the password used when the touch panel connects to the
terminal. The default value is api.
The user name and password of API users can contain only letters (case
sensitive) and digits. The user name can contain a maximum of 128
characters and the password can contain a maximum of 32 characters.
