iNSTALL HOOD SUPPORT
iMPORTANT:
Framing
must
be capable
of
supporting
100 Ibs.
. Locate
at least 2 vertical
studs
at tile wood mounting
location
by tapping
ch3_vall with a hammer
or use a
sttld

the supplied
wood
horizontal
support,

Secure
the support
to 2 or more
vertical
studs with supplied
wood
screws.
IMPORTANT:
Screws
must penetrate

1-1/9"
into vertical
studs.

screws into
support.

mounting
screws in tile center
of tile wood
support,

the centerline.
Tile screws
should
protrude/iwward

clearance
to hang
tile hood.
INSTALL TRANSITION
iMPORTANT:
Remove

* Place tile transition
piece
over the hood
exhaust,

transition
to hood
with 4 screws
provided.
* Use duct tape
to seal tile connection.
iNSTALL
HOOD ONTO WALL
* I,ift tile hood
and place
over tile wood
support.
The
top keyhole
slots ill the hood
should
engage
tile protruding
mounting
screws. Allow tile hood
to slide down into
position.
* Pull house
wiring
through
knockout
at tile rear or
the top of tile hood.
*Check
to be sure tile hood
is level and centered.
The
arrow
shaped
cutout
ill tile back of tile hood
allows
viewing
tile marked
centerline.
* Rein ove cover
fl'om .junction
box.

holes into
the two lower
mounting
holes.
Enlarge
tile holes
if they did not enter
studs
to
3/8".
Tap anchors
Ii)r wall fitsteners
into bottom
holes.
Install
screws by hand
into
the thsteners
to allow
anchors
to expand
against
the wall. Remove
screws.
* Llsing two large flat washers
(supplied),
install
wood
screws
or wall fiistener
screws,
loosely,
into
lower
mounting
boles.
Do not tighten.
,b Check
hood
level. Tighten
upper
screws.
Tighten
lower
mounting
screws.
* For additional
security,
drive screws
through
tile
original
wood
support
screw holes
in tile back
of
tile hood.
