6. SERVICE MODE

6.1 SERVICE MODE
[1] Error Alarming
When the controller detects following 2 types of problem while the controller is launching or working, it should indicate using
LEDs so that user notices the problem.

[How to enter Service mode]
Turn on the power while pressing both left "SHIFT" button and the "DECK 1" button or while pressing both right "SHIFT" button
and the "DECK 2" button.
LEDs of Channel Level Indicator (CH1), Channel Level Indicator (CH2), and Channel Level Indicator (CH4) should be lit
depending on the firmware version and other LEDs should be unlit right after the controller launches in Service mode.
Note: Even if the controller connects with a computer via USB cable, it does not communicate with the computer during
Service mode. Unused LEDs should be unlit during Service mode.
[How to exit Service mode]
In order to exit Service mode, turn off the power.
[Note]
When in this mode, the firmware version display appear first.
In this mode, it does not work to communicate with computer via USB.
In this mode, LED dimmer is not available.

Symptom
When firmware is updated, the internal data
on FLASH ROM can not be erased.
When firmware is updated, the update data
can not be written to FLASH ROM correctly.
Although the controller connects with a
computer via USB cable, the USB controller
within the controller can not communicate
with the computer.

Controller's behavior when detect the problem
LED within FX 1 assign button for Deck 3 should be
flashed in cycle of 1second. (*1)
LED within FX 2 assign button for Deck 4 should be
flashed in cycle of 1second.
