TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING
To avoid personal injury:
8 Always perform any check at "STOP" condition except for special check in
which operation is required.
8 Do not touch the charging section during operation.
8 Keep your hands and body away from the rotating parts during operation.
If the machine does not function properly, use the following chart to identify and correct the cause.

Generator
Trouble
After electrical equipment
connected, generator does not
operate.
Not generating
Circuit breaker can not be operated. Overload
Output cannot be obtained.
• Rotation goes slow.
• Voltage drops.
• Breaker turns off.
Engine indicates loaded condition.

Easy Checker
Trouble
When the key is turned, the lamp
doesn't light on.
The water temperature lamp lights
on when operating.
The oil pressure lamp lights on
when operating.
The battery charge lamp lights on
when operating.
Cause
Circuit breaker is off.
Contact of output terminal and socket
is bad.
Malfunction of electrical equipment
Bad contact of brush
Short circuit of load circuitry connected
to output section
Initial current is too much.
(e.g. motor load)
Overload
Short circuit of generator wiring
Cause
Bulb is defective.
Component or wiring defect of charging
circuit
Engine overheating.
Water temperature sensor faulty.
Water temperature sensor wiring faulty. • Repair the wiring.
Insufficient engine oil.
Lubricating system in trouble.
Oil pressure sensor faulty.
Oil pressure sensor wiring faulty.
Poor contact of sub winding.
Sub winding problem.
Countermeasure
• Turn breaker "ON".
• Reinstall.
• Request repair.
• Check, cleaning and maintenance
of contact face and contact force of
brush and slip ring.

Danger: All works should be
performed when stopped)
