USING THE REMOTE
REMOTECONTROLBUTTONS
POWER
When
the remote
control
is in TV mode,
turns theTV
on or off. If in
another
component
mode,
(VCR, AUDIO,
etc.) and programmed,
will turn the
component
on and off.
TV
Places the remote
control
in TV mode.
Placing
the remote
in TV mode
enables
you to access the menu
system as well
as tune to analog,
digital,
cable
TV, or DIRECTV
channels.
DIRECTV
CABLE
Places the remote
in CABLE
mode.
Placing
the remote
in CABLE
mode
enables
you to control
your
cable box, once you have properly
programmed
the remote.
SAT(Satellite)
Places the remote
in SAT mode.
Placing
the remote
in SAT
mode
enables
you to control
an external
satellite
receiver,
once you have
properly
programmed
the remote.
DTV/SAT
Toggles
the television
between
TV mode
and SAT mode.
PIP
Brings
up the small picture-in-picture
window.
Press again
to hide PIP.
SWAP
Exchanges
the main
picture
with the PIP window.
PIP CH
(PIP Channel)
Selects the picture
window
(either
the main or PIP
window)
that will change
when
you press the CH +, CH -, INPUT,
or digit
buttons
on the remote
control.
TV/CABLE/SAT

ANT(Antenna)
Switches
the source of the off-air signal between
ANTENNA
A
and B.
MOVE
Moves
the PIP window
to a different
corner
of the television
screen
with
each press. You can also use the Arrow
keys to move the PIP window,
when
no menus
are on the screen.
VOL UP/DOWN
Adjusts
the TV's audio
volume.
LAST
Moves
you back and forth between
the last two channels
selected
in
either
SAT mode
or TV mode.
For example,
if you have been viewing
both SAT
and TV channels,
pressing
LAST while
watching
a DIRECTV
channel
moves
you back to the last DIRECTV
channel
you viewed.
Pressing
it while
watching
a TV channel
moves you to the last TV channel
you viewed.
In the menu
system, pressing
LAST returns
you to the previous
menu
screen.
MUTE
Reduces
theTV's
volume
to its minimum
level. Press again
to restore
volume.
CH UP/DOWN
Scrolls
up or down
through
the current
channel
list. Press
once to change
the channel
up or down;
press and hold to continue
changing
channels.
If you are in TV mode
and press CH+/-,
you scroll through
TV
channels.
If you subscribe
to DIRECTV
and are in SAT mode,
you scroll
through
DIRECTV
channels.
